Recently, many types of beneficial schemes are being run by the central and state government for all the farmers. Through these schemes, farmers are being provided benefits in their accounts. Efforts are being made by the government to increase the income of the farmers and reduce the cost of cultivation. In this sequence, the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana is being operated by the Chhattisgarh government. Under this scheme, assistance is being provided to tendu patta collecting families and women’s groups including farmers, cattle rearers, landless farmer labourers. Recently, under this scheme, the Chief Minister of the state Bhupesh Baghel has transferred the fourth installment of Nyay Yojana directly into the accounts of the beneficiaries through DBT. Due to this the farmers of the state are getting a lot of relief.

20 lakh 58 thousand farmers paid the fourth installment

In the program, an amount of Rs 1029 crore 31 lakh has been paid directly to the accounts of 20 lakh 58 thousand farmer brothers of the state as the fourth installment by the Chief Minister. Let us tell you that this is the fourth installment under the scheme this year which has been given to the farmers. Through the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, Rs 11 thousand 180 crore 97 lakh has been paid in the accounts of farmers by the state government in the last two years.

Which scheme how much amount was paid

For the purpose of providing economic support and justice to the rural landless families, the assistance amount was paid to the farmers of different classes, which are as follows-

Under the Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhumiless Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana, operated in the state of Chhattisgarh, the Chief Minister also released an amount of Rs 71 crore 8 lakh in the bank accounts of 3 lakh 55 thousand landless families as the second installment.
A provision has been made to give an annual assistance of Rs 7 thousand to the rural landless agricultural labor families in the state.
Under Godhan Nyay Yojana, Rs 13 crore 62 lakh was paid to cow dung vendors, Gauthan committees and women’s groups.
Under this scheme, Rs 226.18 crore has been paid by the state government to the cattle rearers, self-help groups and Gauthan committees.
Under the Shaheed Mahendra Karma Tendupatta Collectors Social Security Scheme, an insurance amount of Rs 10 crore 91 lakh was paid to 728 Tendupatta collector families.

Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel had launched the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana in the year 2020 on the occasion of Rajiv Gandhi Jayanti. Under this scheme, farmers of the state will be provided input assistance amounting to Rs.9000 per acre. This amount will be given to the farmers producing Maize, Kodo, Kutki, Soyabean, Arhar and Sugarcane. Apart from this, if paddy was sold by the farmer at the minimum support price in the year 2020-21 and the farmer plants crops like Kodo Kutki, sugarcane, tur, maize, soybean, pulses, oilseeds, fragrant paddy, banana, papaya etc. Or if he does plantation, then such farmers will be given input assistance amount of Rs 10,000 per acre. Input assistance will be provided to the farmer planting trees for 3 years. Let us inform that the budget of this scheme has been fixed by the government at Rs 5100 crore. All the farmers of the state can get the benefit of this scheme.

Under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, farmers got installments every now and then

The first installment was released on 21 May 2021 in which Rs 1525 crore 97 lakh was paid to 22 lakh farmers.
The second installment was released on 20 August 2021 in which the amount was 1522 crore 3 lakh rupees. This benefited 21 lakh paddy and sugarcane growing farmers.
The third installment was released on 1 November 2021. In which about Rs 1500 crore was paid to 21 lakh farmers.
The fourth installment of the scheme was released on 31 March 2022, in which 20 lakh 58 thousand farmers have been paid an amount of Rs 1029 crore 31 lakh.

What is Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel had launched ‘Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana’ on the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi i.e. 21 May 2020 in Raipur. The objective of this scheme is to encourage crop production in the state and to get the farmers the right price for their produce. Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhumiless Krishi Mazdoor Yojana and Godhan Nyay Yojana are also being run under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana. Farmers of all sections of the state are being benefited through this scheme.

How much has been paid to the farmers in this scheme

Under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, a payment of six thousand crore rupees has been made to the farmers of the state. Earlier, an amount of about Rs 4548 crore was paid by the state government in the form of three installments in this scheme. In this scheme, along with payment to farmers, the beneficiaries of Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhumiless Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana and Godhan Nyay Yojana have also been paid.

How many landless laborers have registered in the scheme

Under the Rajiv Gandhi Bhumiless Krishi Mazdoor Yojana, more than 4,41,000 laborers had registered for the scheme till 30 November 2021. After analyzing the applications, considering them eligible, they were provided the benefit of this scheme. Let us inform that under the Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhumiless Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana, financial assistance of Rs 6,000 is provided annually to the eligible beneficiaries. Since recently the Chhattisgarh government in its new financial budget 2022-23 has increased the assistance amount of Rs.6 thousand annually to Rs.7 thousand to the beneficiaries of this scheme. Now these farmers will be provided an assistance amount of 7 thousand rupees by the government.
