Chief Minister Vijaybhai Rupani inaugurated “Maruti Nandan Forest” at Kalgam in Valsad district.

Tree planting and forest festival celebration with public participation in all 20 talukas and more than 200 villages of the state: About 3 lakh saplings will be planted on the banks of rivers: Distribution of 10.10 crore different types of saplings at different places in the state.

AHMEDABAD: Chief Minister Vijaybhai Rupani will inaugurate the Maruti Nandan Forest and the 7th Forest Festival program will be held. Kanaiyalal Munshiji inaugurated the unique Lokotsav Van Mahotsav in the year 190 to celebrate tree planting and tree planting all over the country.

The state level forest festival has been celebrated every year in the state capital Gandhinagar since its inception. Curry, started a new initiative and tradition of establishing ‘Cultural Forest’ at the place of celebration, taking this tradition forward, a total of 20 cultural forests have been established till the year 2020 as part of the celebration of Forest Festival of the year 2021 on 19/06/2021 in Valsad district. The 31st cultural forest named “Marutinandan Forest” is being inaugurated at Kalgam with the blessings of Chief Minister Vijaybhai Rupani.

The 31st Cultural Forest “Maruti Nandanvan” is being developed by Gujarat State Forest Department in a total area of ​​2,00 hectares. This forest is near the temple of Hanumanji at Kalgam. So this forest is dedicated to Hanumanji. Since this temple is mythical, thousands of devotees visit it during Shravan Mass.

So far 31000 saplings have been planted in this forest during this forest festival and with its completion more than 1 lakh saplings will be planted in this forest. The following objectives are to be achieved through “Marutinandan Forest”. – People’s participation in forest conservation and breeding – A place for students to study botany Respect the religious and cultural sentiments of the people This forest will serve as a source of natural oxygen during the Corona period.

The following different types of forests have been planted in Marutinandan Forest. Including Ramsetu, Sindurivan, Maize Garden, Navagraha Forest, Karmayogi Forest, Kishkindha Forest, Rashi Forest, Laxman Zula, Garden of Colors, Nakshatra Forest, Panchvatika, Sanjeevani Forest, Yoga Garden, Butterfly Garden, Garden of Fagareva Attempts have been made to establish an intimate forest.

During the 7th Forest Festival, Gujarat State Forest Department has organized a program to celebrate the district level forest festival on the same day in all the 9 Municipal Corporations of the state, in all the 6 districts. Apart from this, tree planting and forest festival is being celebrated in all 30 talukas and more than 200 villages of the state with public participation. For the purpose of water conservation, about 3 lakh saplings are being planted on the banks of rivers this year by the forest department.

School Colleges g. I. D. C. Industries in the area, industrial units of the states, giving priority to tree planting in urban areas are to achieve the resolution of green Gujarat. This year, the Forest Department will distribute 10.10 crore different types of saplings at different places in the state.

In the field of social forestry, the wide response of non-governmental organizations as well as public participation has led to an incredible increase in forest area. Various non-governmental organizations have made invaluable contribution in making Gujarat green by organizing programs for public awareness from time to time. Letters of commendation will be awarded to 6 non-governmental organizations of the state for their invaluable contribution in public awareness through afforestation with the blessings of Chief Minister Vijaybhai Rupani during the 8th Forest Festival of the state on 19/06/2021. 7 persons who have brought public awareness through afforestation through self-effort will be honored with Forest Pandit Award. During this state level program, 3 gram panchayats and 3 taluka panchayats received income of Rs. 1.31 crore check will be given.
