Eligibility for Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme
- The age of the applicant should be 60 (60) years or more.
- The applicant should live in a rural area and have a score of 0 to 20 in the BPL list below the poverty line.
- For urban area applicants should be included in the BPL list prepared in the context of poverty alleviation programs of the Ministry of Urban Housing and Property Elevation of the Central Government.
- Both spouses eligible for Vayvand scheme can apply.

The Old Age Pension Scheme provides monthly assistance of Rs. 750 (Rs. 750) to the aged 60 to 79 years.

Certificate for BPL score for this scheme for beneficiaries who are included in the BPL prepared by the government on the basis of social and economic survey prepared by the government as per the guidelines of the Ministry of Rural Development for the beneficiaries in rural areas. Beneficiaries included in the list prepared by the Ministry of Urban Housing and Poverty Alleviation of the Central Government for urban beneficiaries.
There is a provision to appeal against the application of Indira Gandhi National Old Age Assistance (Vay Vandana) scheme to the concerned provincial officer within 60 days if the order is rejected by the Mamlatdar of that area.
